Alexander Skutch
A biologist who specialized in the Neotropic region. He wrote more than 40 books and published over 200 papers. His iconic book the A Guide to the Birds of Costa Rica is dated regarding current status of the species of this region but it is still our go to for written descriptions. Nothing else comes close. Still available for sale.
